Our Story

Hidden Gems was founded by Tyler Pearson with hopes to aid under recruited high school athletes form connections with prospective colleges and universities with hopes to extend their playing careers. This idea stemmed from the connection that Tyler Pearson formed with players he has formally coached and/or trained being affected by the pandemic and losing recruiting opportunities. During this time players lacked a quality resource in the midwest that was genuinely designed for them to receive proper exposure which magnified a pre-existing issue for players in the Chicagoland area.

Since the pandemic Hidden Gems Camps LLC was founded. Addressing a need in aiding players in gaining the knowledge, along with the resources needed to reach and succeed at the next level while providing a platform to showcase their skills simultaneously.

Hidden Gems Camps is dedicated to serving the athletes and providing them a genuine service by giving them the tools along with the opportunity to extend their career past high school. We care about the athlete and we also care about the relationships we form with college coaches.We want to ensure we are presenting quality prospects that coaches can feel confident in recruiting!

Mission Statement

Hidden Gems views its mission as providing a genuine service to help deserving athletes gain the opportunity to continue their basketball careers post high school. Hidden Gems not only believes in creating the opportunity for athletes to gain interest from college coaches for post high school opportunities. We also believe in preparing them to succeed once there as well. Hidden Gems is committed to becoming a trusted exposure entity in the basketball community. That can be relied upon to produce results while helping under the radar athletes obtain opportunities to play in college.

About Us

Hidden Gems is tailored to assist high school basketball players in gaining insight into what it takes to be successful at the collegiate level. While simultaneously aiding prospects in gaining exposure and developing legitimate relations with college coaches to begin or further their recruitment process.

Hidden Gems will host four separate invitational sessions, consisting of prospects mostly from the midwest region of the country. There will be one unsigned senior session, two separate 60 elite prospect sessions, and one final overall top 40 prospect session.

This camp is designed to highlight the versatility of participants and allow college coaches to become familiar with players. We aim to serve participants by helping them gain exposure, develop new skills, and provide knowledge on the recruitment process simultaneously.

The midwest is in dire need of a genuine basketball exposure service with the sole intent of benefiting the prospects along with the college coaches involved.
